Abstract

            The brazilian military coup 1964. The failure of a democracy.

The following paper wants to examine the solution possibilities of the brazilian administration to solve the increasing intra brazilian poverty problem while the Cold War became “hot and hotter”. It will be shown, that the brazilian president Joao Goulart had hardly any possibilities to solve the poverty problem without getting into conflicts with the small upper class society. Last but not least it will be exemplarily shown, how the difficulty could be transferred to school teaching.
