Abstract

Activities of US Secret Services in Tyrol: Operation Greenup

The following seminar paper deals with American intelligence activities in Tyrol in 1945. It focusses on the agents of Operation Greenup and their contribution to the liberation of the city of Innsbruck without bloodshed and discusses the reception of these events in the Austrian post-war narrative.
